5 Reasons Why Freddie Aguilar Just Took the Word "Legend" to a Level Nobody Could Now Possibly Reach in Like Ever
Remember the "I have an opinion about everything" post I was tweeting about yesterday?
This is it.
And also the following. Yeah, you can call them "disclaimers".
- This is not a hate entry. This is simply my opinion that, as usual, I can't keep to myself.
- I am a fan of Freddie Aguilar. I think his music is one of those that really cemented the identity of OPM. I also want him to live forever because I don't think OPM is going to the Land of Milk and Honey with all the impossibly annoying wannabes sprouting left and right. And I'm also gonna go ahead and say everything you'll read here is gonna sound like I'm rooting for Mr. Aguilar. Well, I am.
- I believe that love is way beyond human understanding. That's why I don't bother judging people who "fall in love".
There you go.

Here are the 5 Reasons Why Freddie Aguilar Just Took the Word "Legend" to a Level Nobody Could Now Possibly Reach in Like Ever.
- He is in a relationship with a 16-year-old girl. I honestly don't know what to think when this whole thing started spreading around Facebook and Twitter like a new viral strain of unbelievable deadliness. My first thought was, "WAY TO GO, POPS!" but later on, I was like, "WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING?!" Well, like I said in one of my "disclaimers", love is not something the human mind could ever fathom. So for this one, I'm gonna go for, "WAY TO GO, POPS!" I mean, let's give the guy a break. He's technically single and the girl is not currently taken by someone else. I've always believed that relationships involve only two people who are committed to each other. No more, no less. Once again, WAY TO GO, POPS!
- He actually went to ask for the blessing of the girl's parents. I know this could be difficult especially for the parents because the whole thing is downright ridiculous from the societal standpoint. Then again, the man proved to be a total gentleman and went through the lost tradition of courtship. Take it from me, guys like that are now officially endangered species.
- He wants to marry his 16-year-old girlfriend. I don't know a lot about love the way I know about the difference between a plant and an animal cell but I'll tell you this - THIS IS LOVE. I mean, why else would you marry someone, right? And again, it's doesn't matter if it looks wrong to many people. In the end, the relationship is a shiny, two-seater Porsche that Freddie drives into the sunset with his girl. Can we do anything about it? No. Can we say shit about it? Yes. Will it change anything? No. At this point, I just wanna say that wherever this heads, my best wishes to the couple.
- He wants to have a kid with his 16-year-old girlfriend. I sincerely hope this happens after the girl turns legal and of course after the wedding. I may sound here like I'm advocating a devil-spawned relationship but I'm still old school like that.
- And last but not the least, his relationship with his 16-year-old girlfriend proves to be a two-way street. Which is good. In relationships, compromises should always be made, no matter how big or small. According to his interview, Freddie gives way to his girlfriend's wishes when the need arises and vice versa. Considering the age gap, I'd say they're pulling this off really well and the mechanics of their relationship should serve as an example for others.
To Mr. Freddie Aguilar, if you ever read this, know that I wish you all the happiness in life. I know you'd always do the right thing and that this girl is in good hands.
To everyone who share the same sentiment as me, thank you.
And to all those who have something unpleasant to say, fire away.
Who are we to judge, anyway? :)) This is possibly the most reasonable response I have seen so far concerning Freddie Aguilar's relationship with a girl young enough to be his granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteHere's to hoping that the girl will be wife material, not a gold digger.
